Dances of vice, horror, and ecstasy take place in the golden years of the city, when things have become superficially stable and prosperous again. A bumbling sorcerer, a dissolute dancer, and a strange sect of gnostic worshippers of Saturn threaten to put an end to all this and turn Berlin into a pit of madness and depravity. Schreckfilm presents Berlin heading towards its bleak future. Investigators must face off against a sinister cabal formed by the big shots of the city, determined to transform its world-famous film industry for nefarious purposes. Trapped in a labyrinth of their own making and relentlessly pursued by dark forces beyond their understanding, the investigators must question what is real and what is illusion.
